People Kids and People Babies

The only ones who live at our house are Mommie, the big man, Monkey and me. We like it that way.

Mommie and the big man have people kids but they are big people kids and they don't live at our house. Mommie has two people kids. She has Julie, who knew the nice lady who rescued me from the woods. Julie is a hair cutter and the nice lady lets Julie cut her hair. Julie lives a long way from our house and she has a man and 2 kitties at her house. Monkey told me that last summer, right after he came here to live, there was some really big party for Julie and her man. There are pictures in our house of Julie and her man, and Julie has on a very pretty white dress. I liked Julie's kitties, one of them was being like a mom cat to me when I was at her house.

Mommie's other people kid is Justin. Justin fixes big trucks and he lives by himself. He doesn't have any kitties. Mommie fusses because Justin has big toys that are very loud and fast. She is scared that he will get hurt and me and Monkey are scared of the big toys that are very loud.

The big man has three people kids. His girl people kid is April. April has a man too. April tells Mommie how to make things pretty in our house. Mommie likes to have a pretty house so she always asks April what to do. Once me and Monkey saw a tall cat tree we wanted. We thought it would look nice in the living room. Mommie said she would have to ask April. I don't know if she did or not, but we never got the cat tree.

The big man has two boy people kids. The tall one is John and he has a girl. John has very short hair and wears dark uniforms. He is a very nice man. The other boy kid is Will. Will comes to our house a lot on the weekends. Will and the big man hang out together. Sometimes they stay upstairs in the den and watch movies for a long time. Monkey likes Will. He goes upstairs and watches movies with him. I like Will OK, but I don't want to hang out with him. I'd rather be downstairs with Mommie.

The people kids are OK, I get nervous when they come over. Monkey plays with them and sleeps on them. He is brave. But there is something else that I don't like: People babies. There are three of them, and I don't like any of them.

First, Mommie acts like she likes the people babies more than me. When the people babies are coming over, she tells me and Monkey that we cannot hiss at the people babies, and we better not touch them or we will be in big trouble. So we have to be very good.

The first time I met one of the people babies, it was Black Hair Girl. She was little and she couldn't walk. But she could crawl and she chased me and Monkey. Monkey is so brave, he would just walk right up to her and lay down. She would pinch him, pick him up by the tail and legs. He would just let her, he didn't care. I was hiding under the chair, trying to get Monkey to escape from Black Hair Girl and join me in the safe place. But he stayed there.

There is a Red Head Boy. He used to just crawl too. He likes me better than Monkey, so he would crawl behind me. But he wasn't mean. If he got close, he just touched me with one hand. He didn't pinch and pick me up by the tail. So I let him catch me sometimes.

The other people baby is Black Hair Boy, he is the little brother of Black Hair Girl and they live at John and his girl's house. Black Hair Boy is very little and all he does is sit in a little seat, so he is not a problem for Monkey and me. Red Head Boy lives with April and her man.

Black Hair Girl and Red Head Boy are coming to our house tonight. I know it, Mommie has the people baby sleeping bed out. She has been talking about it a lot and not paying enough attention to me. They can both run now so me and Monkey have to get away fast. Black Hair Girl is learning to talk and she stands in the kitchen and screams my name like this: "SAAASSSS---SSSEEERRR". Mommie thinks that is wonderful and I just roll my eyes.

Mommie makes me and Monkey come in when the people babies are here because they like to chase us and play with us. We don't like it very much and try to escape.

Me and Monkey have been talking about what we will do this weekend with the people babies here. It is going to rain all weekend and we usually stay in the house when it rains. Monkey said we should find good hiding places from the people babies. That Black Hair Girl can find me no matter what I get under.

But she can't reach me if I get up on the kitchen counter! And we have lots of kitchen counters. I am a lucky kitty.

Monkey The Brother

Monkey is my brother. My adopted brother. He lived at Mommie's house first with his real brother, Frady. Frady had an accident when they were baby kitties and went to Dr. Smith's hospital. But Dr. Smith couldn't fix him.

Monkey and Mommie were so sad. Mommie and the big man decided Monkey needed a sister. So they looked for a sister and found me.

Monkey likes to play a lot. He has more energy than I do. He runs and jumps and he is so brave! He will wrestle with the big man! When Mommie does chores, he always gets in the way. He attacks the broom, chases the mop, gets in the dishwasher and tries to steal the clothes when she folds laundry. Sometimes he gets in the laundry basket and Justin spins him around. He walks funny when he gets out.

He can jump really high, too. He runs fast. He makes a big fuss out of stalking birds, but he never catches them. He likes to sleep on the end of Mommie and the big man's bed. Sometimes when we sleep in the house at night, he sleeps on Mommie's head.

I don't like water. Most cats don't, but Monkey does. He gets in the shower, plays with the water hose and chases the water when Mommie flushes the big water bowl. He stalks Mommie's Dr. Pepper. She puts it on the table and he sneaks up on it and sometimes he turns it over. He chases the ice that falls out of the fridge. He is a weird cat like that.

Sometimes he jumps on people for no reason. He likes to attack socks and he doesn't care if feet are in them. He tries to kill rubber bands. When Mommie brings the newspaper in, he just sits and waits for her to take the rubber band off and give it to him.

Sometimes Monkey plays too rough with me. A long time ago, Monkey was getting mean with me. Mommie had to rescue me from him. She picked me up and fussed at Monkey. She asked him if was taking cocaine or something. Me and Monkey still don't know what that is, but she still thinks he takes it sometimes. Anyway, Mommie called Dr. Smith and told him that she was bringing Monkey to him. She said it was time, Monkey was making incestuous advances to Sister.

Monkey spent the night at Dr. Smith's hospital. I was worried because I heard that Frady never came home from Dr. Smith's and I loved Monkey, I just didn't want him to be so mean to me. Mommie knew I was lonesome for Monkey and she told me not to worry. He was coming home, he went in as Monkey and was coming back as Monk.

When Monkey came home, he ran under the small building and wouldn't come out for a day. I tried to pet him, but he hissed at me. He was really mad about something.

Me and Monkey go to work with Mommie sometimes. She has an office upstairs. Monkey gets in trouble at work because he attacks Mommie's printer when she is working. Sometimes he wants attention and he lays on her computer keyboard.

Mommie packs a suitcase a lot and goes away a lot. Me and Monkey don't like it. Monkey tries to stop her by getting in her suitcase and blocking her from it. He told me once that she was going to ignore him and shut him up in the suitcase and take him somewhere fun.

Monkey is always getting in trouble with Mommie. Mommie says he is the mean kitty and I am the sweet kitty. I will always be her sweet kitty. Mommie loves me and I am a lucky kitty.

A Lucky Kitty

I am Sister, the cat. I live with my mommie and a big man in a very big house with a very big yard. I love my mommie. My mommie loves me.

I didn't always live with my mommie. See, I was a baby kitten once and I lived somewhere far away. I don't remember a lot about being a baby kitten. I don't want to remember. I was playing with my brothers and sisters one day and the next day I was alone in the woods. I don't know how I got there. I was so little and scared.

I cried so loud and no one heard me. I cried for a long time and no one heard me. Then I was hungry but there was no mom kitty to feed me. I learned how to eat bugs. I had to walk around in the woods to find bugs to eat and I would cry loud so my mom kitty would hear me but she never ever did. I was a baby kitty alone in the woods and I was very scared, cold and hungry.

One day a lady saw me and I saw her, but I was scared. I ran away. I watched her from a hiding place. She put some food out by the edge of the woods. When she left, I went to see the food. It was good food, just for baby kitties! I ate so much! I was so hungry. I was very happy a nice lady left me some food.

The next day I went back to the place where the lady left the kitty food and guess what? There was more! Mmm.. I had food. After a few days, I thought I'd better thank my nice lady friend so I went up to her when she was putting the food out for me. At first I didn't let her touch me, but everyday I got closer until she was petting me. And I was purring.

One day the nice lady picked me up and put me in a box. We rode in the car to Julie's house. Julie had 2 big cats, one was very nice to me. She was licking me and loving me just like she was mom cat. I thought maybe I would get to stay with Julie and the new mom cat, but I got back in the box and rode to Justin's house. Justin didn't have any cats and he let me out of the box and I slept in the bathroom. The next day Justin put me in the box and I went to Mommie's house.

I had been in the box and riding around for so long that by the time I got to Mommie's house I was scared and confused. I ran under a little building and only came out to eat. Mommie left me kitty food where I could find it. There was another cat at Mommie's. A boy kitty named Monkey who liked to play a lot. I liked Monkey right away.

I had been hiding for a long time, a bunch of days and nights. I could see Monkey playing with Mommie, but I was scared. One night I just decided to check out Mommie for myself, so I went to the door and cried. She was surprised to see me! She picked me up and loved me and hugged me. She was so nice to me. I loved her! She said she was my mommie.

She named me Sister because she had been looking for a long time for a Sister Kitty for Monkey. Monkey had a brother that had an accident and wasn't around any more. Monkey was lonesome. So I was Monkey's Sister.

Me and Monkey have lived with Mommie for almost a year now. We have fun. We play inside and outside. We love our Mommie. Monkey loves the big man too, but the big man scares me.

I'm going to write about my life with Mommie. She is a good Mommie and I am a lucky kitty.
